Chattahoochee/Flint/Apalachicola River
In 1991 or 1992 I worked on a project on the Chattahoochee/Flint/Apalachicola River from Atlanta to the Gulf. The story was on how places south of Atlanta were suing because Atlanta pulled too much water from the river. I spent a week with a reporter driving the roads along the river.
The project was never published as the paper we were doing this for closed a few weeks after we got back from the trip.
These are a few of the photos I made back then.
Story photographed for the long gone Gwinnett Daily News with Leica R4 and R6 on Fujichrome 100D.

Oystermen working the Apalachicola bay.
Funny story: While making the photos of this man a wave rocked the boat and I over balanced and was about to fall into the Bay. The fisherman reached up and quickly grabbed me and pulled me back into the boat and said "You don't wanna do that". He was right, I had a heavy Domke bag full of lenses on my shoulder...that would have been an EXPENSIVE accident.
