The University Photographers' Association of America, UPAA, held their annual symposium in Provo Utah the last week of June.  I attended, and had time to do a little exploring early in the mornings, evenings, and on the way to the shoot in the Bonneville Salt Flats.  It was a very informative and fun week.
Provo has some beautiful views.

Gregory Heisler was just one of the people who gave demonstrations during the symposium.
Friday the events in Provo were over and we headed to Wendover for a lighting workshop on the famous Bonneville Salt Flats with Joe McNally.  On the way we stopped at the Orson Smith trail in Salt Lake City then also at Antelope Island.

The Bonneville Salt Flats were quite interesting, the salt has the appearance of ice, it even sticks to cars like ice and snow does in the winter.  They were quite pretty and the event on the flats was a lot of fun.

My favorite photo from the event on the flats.
